Jordan is a beautiful little findle brindle who does not act his age, whatever it  is.  He is small for a boy at 53 pounds.   He is a real pistol and jumps around excitedly every time I take him outside,  He loves to play and looks forward to his run in the orchard every day.    He suffered a broken back leg at some time in his life that was left to heal on its own.  He isn't affected by it in any way, except he may at some time get a little arthritic.    He is obedient and knows the basics.  He hops right up into the back of my truck and sits next to the window of the shell ready for any new adventure.  Like most Boxers he loves to go for a ride.   Gabby who was Jordan's best friend went to her forever home and Jordan can't quite understand why he got left behind.   He is a sweet boy who deserves a place to live.  He is waiting patiently here until it comes along.   He loves his bones, pigs ears and bully sticks. He has a new neighbor named Mimzy who came from Southern California.  We are hoping that eventually they will become best friends like he and Gabby were.  He is such a good boy, housebroken, not destructive and he only barks to alert us that someone is here.  We neutered Jordan when he came to us so he still has some of those male traits common to an unaltered male.  He doesn't seem to care for other  males but doesn't go crazy.  He LOVES his bed and blanket and is content to spend most of his day snoozing or chewing one of his treats.

Mimzy is a "valley girl" who has made the move to Northern California and a more laid back life.  Before arriving here she had spent the last five months living in a crate with little time outside of it.  Not a cruel home, just an overcrowded rescue that wanted to keep her out of local shelters where due to her age she would have been euthanized.  I thought Mimzy deserved more and now she spends part of her days in a large kennel with her own special bed, blanket and rug on the floor.  Although pretty plush compared to her former quarters she desires a real home where on sunny days she can bask in the sun and at night curl up at the foot of someones bed.  Mimzy has a slight problem with her thyroid but her daily pills keep her balanced.  I am willing to pay for her pills for the rest of her life just to see her enjoy her very own home.  How long has she got well I don't know any more than any of us know our fate, but I do know that she deserves to experience the comfort of her own home and family.  Don't let the time she might have left be a deciding factor if bringing her into your home.  Mimzy gave someone the best years of her life and for whatever reason she became homeless.  Now all she asks is a place to spend those golden years.  Mimzy will have to be the only dog.  She is truly a Queen who needs to be the center of attention.

Yuma is our resident guard dog and is very vigilant about letting any dog who goes by know that she is aware and in charge, even from her kennel.  She doesn't seem to have an issue when she is a larger area so we will know more about her  issues with other dogs when she has her stitches out.    Poor Yuma is covered with small growths all over her little body.  We had several removed and they were all benign.  She has several cysts that have been erupting and draining.  We are hoping that the good care, supplements and love that she is getting here is helping her body to get rid of those pesky bumps.   It is obvious these problems didn't appear overnight.  She obviously has had a few litters of pups and that would explain the temperament with other dogs.  She is very people loving and would do well with children and adults alike.  She enjoys walking in the orchard and is good off leash.  She is experiencing some urine issues but we have her on DES and it should be resolved as soon as we figure out the correct dosage.  She is very good in her kennel and not destructive.  Good with all people all she really wants is a good home and soft bed.  Spayed and shots current she is ready for a new home.
